BRING IT ON:  Peyton Reed's feature film directorial debut has a new name now (formally known as Cheer Fever), and has been bumped up a month by Universal to an Augst 18th release to get in on the Summer action.  The film's official website is now online with a photo and synopsis of the film, with promise of a full-fledged site coming soon. EXPENDABLES:  Frank Marshall returns to the director's chair after a five-year hiatus in this story about a group of maximum-security prison inmates who gain permission to leave their cells in order to join a special unit the performs dangerous deep sea dives.  The group soon becomes involved in a plan to recover a Nazi U-boat that sunk off the coast of Cuba which may contain lost gold and bank records.  Marshall will also develop the script for the Warner Bros. film. A ROOM FULL OF MIRRORS — THE JIMI HENDRIX STORY:  Is it a rule in Hollywood that anyone who's last name begins with "Z" must be a workaholic?!  Billy Zane stars in this made-for-cable film for Showtime about the life of late music legend Jimi Hendrix.  Zane stars as "Michael Jeffery", Hendrix's business manager.  The film is currently shooting in Toronto, and is expected to wrap on April 28. It will air on Showtime later this fall. [Thanks to super-sleuth "Whit" for the scoop!  Originally appeared on NME.com]

THE TICK:  Christopher Lloyd is currently filming the pilot episode for Fox's upcoming live action series based on their very successful animated series.  The title character is played by Patrick Warburton ("Puddy" on Seinfeld).  Lloyd stars as "Mr. Fishladder" in the first episode directed and executive produced by Barry Sonnenfeld.  No word yet as to whether Lloyd's character (whom is The Tick's sidekick Arthur's former boss) is a recurring character or not.
