Welly USA releasing latest DeLorean diecast replica

New collectible leads pack of upcoming new BTTF toys

Hayward, Calif. — What will certainly be a banner year for Back to the Future fans with the upcoming DVD and video release this Christmas, collectors will now have an additional reason for looking forward to December.

Click here to enlargeWelly Die Casting Factory Ltd., who has been specializing in manufacturing licensed diecast replica vehicles since 1979, will issue a brand new 1:24 scale diecast replica of the classic DeLorean Time Machine by year's end.

At press time, the highly detailed car from the first Back to the Future film is expected to sport several features collectors have come to expect from diecast replicas, including rolling wheels and opening doors.  However, this car will be quite different from any other toy DeLorean manufactured to date — it will have the ability to be converted into every other incarnation of the car from all three films.

With a separately-sold accessory pack, collectors will be able to transform the car into the flying DeLorean equipped for flight down the 2015 skyways; the DeLorean with 1955 replacement wheels & hood-mounted time circuits; and the DeLorean riding the rails in 1885 on its final voyage home (not pictured).

Final specs and prices have yet to be released by Welly and are subject to change, but BTTF.com will be accepting pre-orders for this item very soon in our new Mail Order Catalog.  Availability is expected to be before Christmas 2002, assuming no unforseen delays.

We have learned of plans by other companies who will soon be releasing new BTTF collectibles in the coming months ahead as well, so as soon as they have provided us with some firm details to pass along, we will do so. Stay tuned...
