The inside scoop on the Christopher Lloyd Spin City episode
The first word on the Fox & Lloyd reunion
We've gotten the inside scoop on last night's taping of "Spin CIty" with Christopher Lloyd from a fan who was in the audience, and here's what we now know:
- The episode has a lot to do with Carter's dog "Rags", who will be voiced by Drew Carey this time. Carey didn't show up in time for the taping, and so his voice was to be dubbed in later after the taping.
- Christopher Lloyd enters the episode about half way through, playing "Owen", Mike's political mentor and good friend.
- There were at least two BTTF references in the episode. One piece of dialogue between Owen & Mike, involved Owen telling Mike, "Men like us have to keep looking into the future". Another reference had Mike uttering the infamous line, "Whoa! That's heavy!" in response to something else that Owen said.
- During breaks between scenes, Fox spent most of his time talking with Lloyd.
- One of Lloyd's scenes was so funny, that Richard Kind ("Paul") was laughing histerically off-camera loud enough for the audience to hear him.
- I'm told that one of the funniest moments comes when Fox ad-libbed a line not in the script. When Mike brings out a sign that reads "No Suicidal Dogs", he says, "Carter, the last time you brought him here, he peed in the toaster!".
- Priscilla Presley was indeed in this episode as well. According to ABC's official site, she plays Stacy's aunt "Marie" on the February 16 episode, taped the week before.
