Historic Reunion Airs Tonight
Christopher Lloyd's "Spin City" appearance finally arrives
Well, we've been talking about this one for weeks now, and it all boils down to tonight's big episode. ABC's been doing their part in hyping the reunion by running a promo with a clip of the DeLorean time machine from the "time switching" promo from earlier in the season, boasting "Christopher Lloyd's Back!" in the commercial. If you haven't seen it yet, it should be airing during every commercial break during "Home Improvement" and "The Hughleys".
My personal opinion is that tonight's reunion could be a major step towards reviving the "Back to the Future" series. If viewership is high enough for tonight's episode, it will surely send a message to Universal loud and clear that the timing is perfect for another sequel. Nothing short of a paradox could tear me away from the television set tonight as I join the millions of viewers and fans enjoying this reunion!
I've tried for weeks now to obtain photos from ABC on this episode, but I got the run-around from them all last week, and all attempts to get information from Lottery Hill and DreamWorks went without a response. However, The Associated Press released a really cool photo yesterday of the pair in a posed shot from the episode, and we're pleased to have something finally! Click on the photo below for a large high-resolution scan of the entertaining photograph. [Thanks to "Joe" for forwarding the photos to us when nobody else would!]

One minor correction to a previous report I'm now told that Regis Philbin does the voice of Carter's dog "Rags" on tonight's episode, instead of Drew Carey.
Update: FutureFest another step closer
Our long planned and often postponed gathering, "FutureFest" just got one step closer to becoming a done deal. Steven Kirk, our liasion at Universal, had a high-level meeting this past Friday with his colleagues who will make the decision as to whether Universal will sponsor this event. The meeting was extremely positive, and we're now 99% sure that the event will indeed take place in the Summer of 2000 at Universal Studios Hollywood. Right now, Steven Kirk's working on a budget for his bosses, and we hope to have final word on the event very soon. The event will help mark the celebration of the series' 15th Anniversary, and if tonight's episode of "Spin City" doesn't kickstart something at Universal, this event will no doubt show Universal the light. Stay tuned.
Controversy on set of "Cast Away"
According to The Hollywood Reporter, there's a controversy brewing in Russia regarding the depiction of Russian characters in scenes from Zemeckis’ upcoming film "Cast Away" with Tom Hanks and Helen Hunt. Hanks plays the head of the Russian Federal Express office, and apparently, the Russians feel that his character depicts them in a disrespectful manner to the point that they have threatened to disrupt distribution of the film in Russia unless the film companies involved make changes.
