Lloyd film primed for Thanksgiving
A Red-Letter Date in 1999...
Universal's Andy Kaufman bio, Man on the Moon, finally has a release date. We'll all be able to see Christopher Lloyd reprise his Taxi role beginning, interestingly enough, on November 5. Universal has opened the fim's official website, located at www.man-on-the-moon.com, although there is minimal information located there as of yet.
Elsewhere in Hill Valley...
We now have access to ABC photography and press releases, which enables us to provide information about upcoming episodes of Michael J. Fox's Spin City long before an episode airs, as well as any other ABC shows or movies of particular interest.
Coming up on March 30: "The Last Temptation of Mike" When Paul (Richard Kind) discovers he has lazy "swimmers", he asks Mike (Michael J. Fox) to help Claudia (Faith Prince) conceive by being the donor. To Nikki's shock, Mike agrees, but he's in for a surprise on his big night with Claudia. Meanwhile, Stacy is stalked by an over-enthusiastic tour guide at City Hall; and the mayor tries to bond with James. Photo by Craig Blankenhorn.
GQ Magazine has recently announced its nominees for their 1999 "Men of the Year" Poll. Included among the lengthy list are Oscar-winning Director Steven Spielberg, Segram/Universal head Edgar Bronfman, Jr., and purple underwear maker Calvin Klein. You can cast your vote at www.GQ.com. Winners will be announced in the November issue of the magazine and honored at the 4th Annual GQ Awards show in New York City.
Lea Thompson was among the 900+ celebrities & guests in attendance at the post-Oscar party hosted by Elton John sponsored by InStyle magazine. The event benefited the Elton John AIDS Foundation, and raised over $300,000.
Elisabeth Shue's next film, Molly, is slated for release on April 16. MGM has had their official website (www.mgm.com/molly) open for some time now, but in case you haven't visited it, here are some of the more interesting photos posted there, as well as the recently added theatrical poster, which I suspect should start popping up in theaters shortly. The site also has recently added the film's trailer, which will also be hitting the airwaves and cineplex screens very soon.
