WHY: This will be our largest appearance yet, and only the third time in history that any portion of this massive collection has been publicly displayed. This is indeed a very rare appearance by BTTF.com and Tom Wilson Back to the Future fans of any degree should not miss this one as we have no other appearance dates currently scheduled. An added incentive for fans to attend this show is the fact that the Orange County Convention Center is located less than 5 miles away from Universal Orlando, home of the original Back to the Future...The Ride and Doc's time travel train.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do the celebrities charge for their autograph? Yes, celebrities will charge a nominal fee to autograph your memorabilia or selected picture from their photos for sale, as this is how we pay them to take time out from their busy schedules to participate in the event. These fees may vary by size of the photos, color or b/w, etc. Fees have ranged from $5-$15 at previous events. Some attendees prefer to just meet the celebrities, while others will want a signed photo to have as a keepsake of the show. You are not required to purchase a photo from the celebrities to meet them, shake their hand, or just tell them how much you enjoyed their acting.
What props & costumes will I be able to see? A few of the key pieces that attendees will be able to see from this large prop and wardrobe collection up close and personal include:
- From Back to the Future Marty & Doc’s radiation costumes, Marty’s 1955 skateboard, and original clocktower cables.
- From Back to the Future Part II the full-sized 2015 Taxi cab, all five hoverboards, Marty’s futuristic jacket, and Doc’s Sleep-Inducing Alpha-Rhythm Generator.
- From Back to the Future Part III Marty, Buford and Clara’s western costumes, Doc’s chess set, and an 1885 map of Hill Valley.
- From Back to the Future...The Ride Large scale DeLorean miniatures, and Doc Brown’s Deep-Thinking Mind-Reading Helmet.
BTTF.com personnel will be on hand to explain all of the pieces from the collection and to provide a personalized tour throughout the display. Over 100 pieces make up this unique and rarely displayed collection.
Will I be able to purchase any Back to the Future memorabilia? Yes, attendees will be able to purchase all types of memorabilia imaginable from the series, including toys, books, model kits, hats, posters, autographs, soundtracks, videos, and selective props from BTTF.com’s online collectibles store.
Will prices at the show be different than they are in the catalog? Prices in the catalog will be rounded to the nearest dollar for ease of purchase at the show, but basically prices will remain the same. In other words, there won't be any "price gouging" at the show. However, there will be special pricing on certain items exclusively for show attendees only, as well as free gifts right out of the catalog in celebration of our 10th year in business.
I'm a frequent visitor to your website can I help out with the booth? Thanks, but we've got all bases covered since various BTTF.com staff members will be on hand manning the booth all weekend. Unfortunately, we cannot allow fans to come behind the tables in the merchandise or celebrity signing areas, nor to "hang out" around the booth for lengthy periods of time. With an attendance of approximately 15,000 people expected during the two-day period, large crowds are expected inside the booth during all hours and we must keep the lines moving so that every attendee will have the same opportunity to experience the entire exhibit. Thanks for understanding.
I can't make it to Florida. When will you be in my area? At this time, we have no other convention appearances scheduled, so this will most likely be your only chance to see our presentation any time soon. We will have a small booth at the 2002 DeLorean Car Show in Memphis (collectibles only no celebrities, props or costumes), but that is the only confirmed show at this time that we're doing other than FX-2002, so you won't want to miss it!!
